Twenty years ago, it was kinda a big deal when production cars came with top speeds in excess of a hundred miles per hour. Today, however, such cars might as well be used as hearses in funeral processions for being such slowpokes. These days, a car isn’t a supercar when it doesn’t hit 200 mph or so. Yes, these sleek, sexy and ultra-expensive cars are that fast you’d think you’ll eventually lift off and watch as people and buildings become smaller by the minute.
Yet even in this exclusive 200 mph club, there are those that go at crazy speeds they might as well grow wings and fly. In fact, most of them already look the part, like something out of a cool sci-fi movie. At present, these are the ten fastest cars on the planet, at least until some engineer comes up with a car that cruises at 300 mph. Then we’ll look like one of those NASA test pilots in old documentaries submitting themselves to insane g-forces.
