The news that the just-married Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds became just-separated after only two weeks is surprising, but not shocking. Why? Because their union is not the shortest celebrity marriage on record. Far from it.
While the Murphy-Edmonds marriage could have sneaked into the top 10 list, it actually doesn’t count, since they were married in French Polynesia—a foreign country—and therefore isn’t legal in the U.S.
