Born Again Porn Stars
Everybody gets a second chance. That is what many Christians believe the whole thing is all about, because everyone does make mistakes, porn stars included. Not that shedding clothes or having sex with different partners on camera is a mistake, as porn fans would probably tell us, but there are porn stars who have actually turned their backs on the adult industry because they have found Jesus Christ.
Now many porn fans might actually think that getting out of porn was the biggest mistake they’ve ever made, but the porn stars listed below seem to be happy with their decision, and some of them are already working hard on helping other people in the adult business get out. That seems like a daunting task, especially when porn stars these days are getting paid big bucks, but real Christians are known for their resilience (some call it stubbornness). We could only hope they wouldn’t be too successful, or the adult industry as we know it would cease to exist.
1. Shelley Lubben
A former stripper, prostitute and porn star (known as “Roxy”) who is now reaching out to adult performers and porn addicts, and is speaking out against the porn industry as well through her website.
2. Sophia Lynn
The star of such titles as “Internal Injections 2” and “Pulp Friction” is now an office staff at Celebrate Community Church, a group ministering to sex workers, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The church also offered her a college scholarship as well as a place to live.
3. Harry Reems
Harry Reems, of course, is the male star of the highest-grossing porn film in history, “Deep Throat”. After a controversial porn career which saw him hauled off to court, and years of drug and alcohol abuse, the Jewish-born actor has converted to Christianity and is now living a peaceful life as a successful real estate agent in Utah.
4. Crissy Moran
Beautifully exotic, Crissy Moran was a nude model for websites and magazines before making the jump to hardcore, of which she’s done over 30. She left the adult business in 2006 after embracing Christianity. She is currently working for a non-profit organization that aims to reach out to the porn industry, prostitutes, and abused women.
5. Erica Campbell
Erica Campbell is a former nude model, and has appeared in various publications and websites. She has since quit the business after becoming a Christian, writing in an essay on her website that she has found a "new clarity" and "purpose" for her life.
