7 Ingenious Bra Designs
Ask any guy what kind of bra they would want to see on their girlfriends/wives and they’d probably say “one that stays on the floor”. Sure, men would always prefer to get those pesky bras off their women, but they should also realize that bras are no longer just a piece of undergarment that gets in their way of getting to second base. Not when inventors are coming up with designs that showcase their imaginative—in some cases crazy—ideas for bras that do more than just cover up and support breasts.
Such is the case with the seven bras listed below. Some can be mighty beneficial, while others just border on the silly. But they sure are all ingenious.
1. The Warmbiz Bra
Triumph International has come up with the Warmbiz Bra, a bra designed to keep the wearer warm without having to use heaters and therefore conserve energy, in keeping with Japan’s "WarmBiz" campaign. All the wearer has to do is heat the eco-friendly gel filling the bra’s special pads in microwave or with a hot water bottle.
2. The Smart Bra
Invented by Prof. Elias Siores, director of the Centre for Research and Innovation at the University of Bolton in the UK, The Smart Bra is designed to detect cancer early using thermography, says Gizmodo, No word yet on whether this one’s already in the market, but it would be great if it does enter mass production soon.
3. The Winerack
Do you want to take your favorite beverages with you to places where no outside drinks are allowed, and enjoy the attention of guys at the same time? The Winerack does that for you, and more. Basically, this bra can store up to 750ml or 25oz. of beer, wine, milk or whatever it is you love to drink in polyurathane “bladders” within the garment, with drinking tube to boot. Naturally, a full load means a fuller-looking chest for the wearer, effectively guaranteeing that men’s eyes will be stuck on your rack all night long.
4. The Heart Monitoring Bra
The Textronics NuMetrex sports bra is just perfect for avid joggers. On top of the full support, this bra offers a built-in heart rate monitoring system, with sensors that detect your heartbeat and send data to the WearLink transmitter, which then forwards the info on to a heart rate monitor watch.
5. The USB Bra
I’m not really sure if this one works, or if it’s even actually manufactured, but it’s definitely a cool take on the bra just the same.
6. The Scrolling Message Bra
Janet Hansen invented this bra which features a scrolling message LED display. Perfect for calling attention to your rack, or warning people to not ogle them lest they be slapped with sexual harassment suits.
7. The USB Keyboard Bra
If tearing your husbands or boyfriends away from their computers has become an exercise in futility, you can try this one silly product from a company called Angel Kitty. It’s a USB keyboard bra, which is made of soft silicone material with beautiful pink lace stitched to its sides. With this product, your men can play two games at the same time, if you catch my drift. Now if they could only incorporate a joystick into this thing…
