10 Mainstream Films With Hardcore Sex Scenes
The idea of featuring unsimulated sex in a mainstream production isn’t exactly new, but lately, films that show actors going all the way onscreen are becoming a dime a dozen. In the last decade or so, we’ve seen quite a number of real movies with real, legitimate actors engaging in what is unmistakably real sex.
Now the question remains: Is it art or porn? And the answer remains the same: who cares? As long as they show legitimate actors going at it for real, everyone’s a happy camper, never mind that some of the mainstream films with hardcore sex scenes listed below may bore you to tears.

1. 9 Songs
Margo Stilley may look like a skinnier and uglier Maggie Gyllenhaal, but she definitely gives a performance worthy of a porn star in one of the most sexually explicit mainstream movies of all time.
2. Battle In Heaven
It is said that a prosthetic penis was used in some of this film’s raunchiest scenes. Whether it’s true or not doesn’t change the fact that pretty Mexican actress Anapola Mushkadiz looked so convincing as she does the fellatio scenes that act as bookends of the film.
3. All About Anna
Beautiful Danish singer and actress Gry Bay is a woman of many talents, and she shows off some of them in this film with the help of two different actors.
4. Intimacy
Kerry Fox is a respected actress from New Zealand, and she indeed got a lot of respect during the 2001 Berlin Film Festival where she won the Silver Bear for Best Actress for this film, where she goes down for real on British actor Mark Rylance.
5. Baise-Moi
Think "Thelma and Louise" with hardcore sex and even more hardcore violence.
6. Shortbus
Don’t let the very graphic sex scenes, both hetero and homo, in this movie fool you. It’s a fun film to watch, even though the gay oral sex scenes do get a bit too explicit for comfort.
7. Anatomy of Hell
A disclaimer at the beginning of this film claims lead actress Amira Casar used a body double for her most intimate scenes. The special effects for this Catherine Breillat movie must be first-rate then, because I could swear it was really the gorgeous British-born French actress at the receiving end of porn legend Rocco Siffredi’s hard pumping near the end of the film.
8. The Brown Bunny
Like everyone else who caught this one on DVD, I forwarded to the best part of the film: a long scene where Academy Award-nominated actress Chloe Sevigny shows off her oral skills. And she definitely doesn’t disappoint.
9. Ken Park
Forget the much-talked about teen threesome scene towards the end. Just the sight of "The Bold and the Beautiful" actress Maeve Quinlan enjoying some oral lovin’ is already worth the price of admission.
10. Romance
Another Breillat film featuring Rocco Siffredi doing what he does best.
